Communication(Advantages and Disadvantages of communication)

Advantages of communication:
•People can communicate with anyone by staying anywhere in the world. They can understand about many cultures and nationalities, can interact with their own relatives and friends.
•Selling goods anywhere in the world is much cheaper and easier. Business dealer can easily communicate with customers and suppliers across many countries using communication. Customers find it much easier to shop around for goods. They can compare prices.
•Using online communication, people can sent and receive huge amount of files, videos, and graphics in seconds, which is less time consuming and less costly.
•People don’t have to travel to distant places to do simple works, they can easily take part in any meeting using ‘video conferencing’ in any place in the world, by sitting in front of his personal computer, hence pollution has decrease and traveling cost is lessen.
•People can work from any place, so they can choose to live in any place they would like to stay, or where the house rents are less.
•Students can be hugely benefited by the information on the internet, helping them out further in enhancing their skills in the subject and performance in the class. From the latest technological advancement they can search over the internet to get the most useful information about the interesting science facts which one might not easily get in books.
•Online communication has created job opportunity in many sectors like telemarketing, teleworking, etc
•It has also benefitted the social health life of people by inventing telemedicine and telesurgery.

Disadvantages of Communication:
•Sensitive Information can be intercepted by hackers, which can be very dangerous if leaked.
•Viruses can be spread very fast through online communication
•Larger companies can be dominating by using the latest technologies and can put smaller low-scale companies out of business.
•Online communication can widen the gap between poor and rich countries because poorer countries cannot afford to invest in the latest technologies, such as satellite links ,broadband, etc. moreover it can cause legal problems, because what is legal in one country may not be legal in another
•People could give information about others that is not true, and that could cause them upset and distress and student can copy coursework off the internet, or look up exam questions. This would hamper exam system.
•Through online communication people could send and receive photographs, music, diagrams, maps, text, webpage, designs. then it would be very much tough to protect the rights of the people who created or developed the material in the beginning .
•Online communication gives us the freedom of information to be accessed easily such as where to buy illegal drugs, how to join terrorist organizations, how to make bombs, how to create and distribute viruses, which can be very crucial.
•Through online communication not all information is accurate, and freely available, so if there is no policing of information it could lead to people being misinformed.
